Trustees, Committees & Staff
Freeport Historical Society has a Board comprised of thirteen Trustees. They serve three year terms and can serve one additional three-year term. Officers are elected annually-the following are serving as Officers: President (Bill Muldoon), Vice President(Tori Baron), Secretary(Cito Selinger) and Treasurer(Todd Nicholson).
Other Trustees are: Rita Armstrong, Kate Arno, Michelle Broderick, Nancy French, Peter Gerquest, Tom Ingersoll, Kathy Lowell, and Jennifer Morrissey.
The Trustees meet monthly, generally on the second Wednesday evening of the month. The Annual Meeting of the Corporation takes place in May.
Presently we have five standing Committees: Education/Outreach (Michelle Broderick/Jen Morrissey), Buildings and Grounds (Ned Allen), Collections (Todd Nicholson/Ned Allen), Finance (Todd Nicholson), and Development (Kate Arno). Each has Trustee and staff presence and in most cases, community volunteer members.
Each Committee sets its own meeting schedule and agenda but in general, the Committees meet monthly at Harrington House. We invite you to become a committee member! Please contact Christina White, Director, or any Committee Chairperson to discuss.
Today we have a staff of three, Christina White is our Executive Director-director@freeporthistoricalsociety.org, Vanessa Rodriguez is our Assistant to the Executive Director-info@freeporthistoricalsociety.org, and Ned Allen is our Collections Manager-library@freeporthistoricalsociety.org.
