Enjoy an old time Base Ball Game
featuring the team Dirigo from Maine who will take on the team from Ipswich, MA in what is sure to be an exciting ball game!
Game time at noon.
After the game there will be a hands-on kids demonstration of hitting, pitching and fielding (with no gloves) lead by the team.
In 1860, Base Ball players didn’t wear gloves, or helmets, they weren’t allowed to swear and no substitution in players could be made once the game commenced. Umpires wore suits and tall hats. Not exactly the game we know today. To learn more about the rules of 1860 check out this website.
Lunch will be available for purchase all day.
Parking on the farm - drive down through the gates, you will be directed where to park when you arrive at the end of the driveway.
