Sunday, June 27, 1pm, Vintage Baseball Game between Dirigo (ME) and Essex (MA) Vintage Baseball Teams
At historic Pettengill Farm (Pettengill Farm Road off of Flying Point Road, Freeport) on Sunday, June 27th at 1:00pm, join us on an old-fashioned farmer’s field for a vintage baseball game based on the 1860 rules between the Dirigo (ME) and Essex (MA) Vintage Baseball teams. Bring a blanket or folding chair and enjoy a summer’s afternoon. We’ll also invite you to play a game!
Music will be provided by Over a Cardboard Sea, who will be performing the original 1908 version of “Take Me out to The Ballgame” (with the 2 seldom heard verses), “Let’s Get the Umpire’s Goat” also from 1908 and lots of other great tunes.
Of course, beer was a staple at ballgames since its earliest days and we will not disappoint. Kettle corn and hotdogs will be available, as well.
Adult tix: $5.00. Members and kids 10-16, $3.00, and kids under 10, free.
