Archaeology Presentation at
Freeport Community Library
On November 18, Freeport Historical Society will have a public presentation describing the results of their archaeological dig at Harrington House on Main Street. Artifacts will be on display and several participants—school-age students, members of an archaeology course, Boy Scouts, Teacher Sue Clukey, Maine State Archaeologist Leith Smith, and FHS Collections Manager Holly Hurd will describe their experiences and findings. Come and learn what digging in the ground has told us about this historic property on Main Street.
This project was funded in part by a grant from the Johanna Favrot Fund for Historic Preservation of the National Trust for Historic Preservation
